Abstract

This research is all about tracing the verses of Holy Quran, which mentioned the word »power« with its derivatives, to comprehend the term, and provide an insight of meanings & connotations related thereto in the Holy Quran. It emerged from tracing that the term »power« is not restricted to the physical power only, but also covers other kinds of power, e.g. spiritual, ethical, psychological, & social ones, that we need besides the material one.

Moreover, power may used to support the goodness, and then it makes positive effects. On the other hand, power sometimes is exploited in the evil side, and negative effects ensue accordingly.

The research also clarifies that the causes of real power include among others: adherence to the directives of Allah, repetitive expiation & repentance, unity & consolidation, seeking consultation, patience, and preparation.
