Abstract
This study deals with the subject of the Palestinian Poetry of Resistance, and it focuses on the poetry of a group of four poets, who left their impact on the development of poetry in Israel in the 1950 and 1960s of the last century. This group includes the poets Hnna Abu Hanna, Tawfiq Zayyad, Mahmoud Darwish, and Samih al-Qassem. These poets have left their mark on the development of the Palestinian poetry in Israel.
The study discusses the role of the ‘end’ in the structure of the poetic text, as its effect remains attached to the intellect of the receiver constantly. The main objective of the study is to give answer to its the main question of discussion: what is the relationship of the ‘end’ of the poem of resistance as an artistic technique with its content which revolves around the terms of struggle, steadfastness, and attachment to earth.
The objective circumstances that surround the poem of resistance, which are para-textual elements, are reflected in the ‘end’ of the poem as the main axis in its structure. These circumstances include the aspects of challenge and defiance, optimistic view and vision about the future, are among the thematic characteristics of the ‘end’ of the poem.
Several stylistic styles such as the ‘direct address,’ and the ‘direct style of request and call’ and other related devices combine to emphasize the significance of this characteristic.
