Abstract

The holy Quran subsumes some non-Arabic words, some of which were borrowed verbally and some of which were only entered implicitly. The views of commentators on the subject varied between strict, denier and conservative. They rarely employed linguistic comparisons in the interpretation of the Quran, which resulted in the phenomena of linguistic taboos.

This study aims to draw attention to some of the untold phenomena in the interpretation of the Koran especially those related to non-Arabic words, on the basis of specific words: "biyaa", "Salawat" and "TaBout"
