Abstract

Current research aims to provide a clear idea of the methodology and ethics of
scientific research, on the one hand, and to demonstrate the significance of
statistics in educational research and ethics, on the other.
Among the most important considerations and ethical standards that should be
adhered to by the researcher discussed in the direction of the sample are as follows:
1. The respondents or their parents are entitled to see the risks of research and its
possible negative effects on them, and preferably having their consent before
participating in order to get acquianted with the objectives of the research and
the changes in it.
2. The researcher must avoid being biased or intolerant when choosing to study
society and be appointed to be a proper representive and can be relied upon to
disseminate the results.
3. The research shoud not be used for any personal benefit for both members of the
research or of its institutions.
4. The researcher should not exploit his or her position and force others to
participate in the research sample. Moreover, participants must have the right to
withdraw from the research at any time they want.
5. Researcher should take into accounts the organization's policies that serve as a
guidance.
Studies indicate a number of ethical violations when one uses the statistics of
educational and psychological research. These violations include the following:
(a) The emergence of commercial offices for statistical analysis for researchers
and students, exceeding the legal and ethical obligations.
(b) The bias of the researcher prior to the alternative hypothesis, and acceptance
in spite of the lack of validity and accuracy.

(c) Some statisticians enter their own data or use historical data stored in the
memory of their computers closer to the quality and the amount of degrees of
the new research, especially when there are many data, which in turn make all
the statistical results become misleading or false.
(d) Some statisticians try to satisfy the expectations of the researcher or the
manipulation of statistics on research and sometimes its findings are made to
be in accorance with its hypotheses.
(e) Some statisticians or researchers choose the method of statistical and applied
in the light of the result formulated hypotheses, which make the statistics
dominated by research or the hypothesis when statistics should be in the
service of the hypotheses.
