Abstract

This paper describes how to use the computational knowledge engine Wolfram Alpha in
teaching mathematics, in particular the subject of sequences of the following type: (1)
arithmetical and geometrical sequences, (2) sequences of the modulo and (3) Fibonacci
sequences. At the outset of the paper, we describe how to use this engine and then we
compare it to other search engines like Google and Bing. In addition, we present examples
of series of the above mentioned types with print screens from the website.
