Abstract

The content of the  curricula in the Arabic language and the way it has been divided on the various levels of each stage and setting the objectives and specific guidelines have its particular implications. Some of such implications have to do with the values and ideals, while others are related to the philosophy of education. Other implications have a lot to do with the nature of the material and its contribution to building the individual and the social lives.

One may think that the curricula being taught aim only at determining the materials to be taught or allocating the right time for them or for each of its branches, or one may think that distributing the curricula on the various levels and grades and setting their objectives and directions, with all that is related to it in terms of evaluation, comes arbitrarily with scientific basis. Such claims or thinking is baseless. Educational reality has its own depths and dimensions, which indicate its true educational value. Those depths and dimensions determine the way it should be managed at school and delineate the specific guidelines it should follow
