Abstract

The art of oratory is of the oldest and the most eminent among the Arabs and the Moslems, particularly in their early times. Some researchers have even gone as far as claiming that Arabs and Moslems were among the very few in the world who actually knew the real art of oratory.  Such arts have prospered in no other place as they did among the Arabs and the Moslems. This paper will relate to the following questions: 1- What is the concept of oratory as seen by the Arabs and the Moslems? And  2- What are the factors that led to the success of this type of art among the Arabs and Moslems?
