Abstract

This article aims at showing the way the old Arab Grammarians dealt with the word “fam”. It emphasizes its exeptional use particularly in poetry, and how they found relevant interpretation for that use. During the research, I clarified the difference in the versions among the grammarians particularly among the Kufi and Basra schools.
