Abstract

This article talks about the distinguished functions of the teacher as an educational leader. This subject has been hotly debated among the various researchers and educationists worldwide. This concern with the leadership role of the teacher is the result of the firm belief that the teacher plays an essential role in polishing the personality of the student and in preparing him for tomorrow's society.

This article attempts to shed light on the role of the teachers as  educational leaders, and on the leading roles of the various officials and stakeholders in the Arab education system in Israel, in order to help promote success among Arab teachers in perfoming their role in society.  The article focuses on the research  findings in this area and on the theoretical aspects of the subject.  In addition, the article attempts to combine theory with practice, hoping to provide teachers with effective means to help them succeed in their work in the Arab society with its own particular cultural and social traits
