Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the nature of smoking, the reasons behind getting used to it, specially for adolescent students smokers’ behavior, and its different ramifications  on students and society. The researcher reviewed Arabic and English literature and collected information on smoking students and their school and social deportment. The study pointed out the mission of the shool and its role in eliminating the smoking habit. It revealed that smoking had negative effects on smokers’ shychological and mental health as well as their learning, school, and social behavior, the environment, and the economic activity. At last, the study concluded with some ideas to prevent students from falling under the smoking habit or to help them get rid of it.
