Abstract

This study aimed to identify the nature of family and social life as perceived by
female married students in al-Qasemi Academy and their satisfaction with the
components of family and social life in light of the family reality facing these
students in Academy al-Qasemi married for the academic year (2013/2014). To
evaluate the student's life reality and the influence on their academic
achievement, this case study explored the following variables: specialization in
the college, number of children, and husband's profession. This article also
aims to show the challenges and difficulties faced by these married students in
family and social context.
This study is based on the qualitative approach, which relies on the study of
any natural phenomenon in its natural context. The direct source of data
collection is based on the words and statements of the sample members.
Analysis and interpretation of this input help form the qualitative findings. To
achieve the date, the data collection process was based on depth interview by
questioning a sample of married students at the Academy about the reality of
the process of learning and the effects on family roles. The questions were open
questions with no hypotheses or original categories because they may limit
their statements.
The study sample consisted of 10 married students who learn in different
disciplines in al-Qasemi Academy and in different years of their academic life

The results showed that the learning of married students has negative effects to
some extent on the components of family and social life. The results also
showed a partial negative impact of the variables of specialization, the
profession of the husband and the number of children on the reality of family
life as well as social and academic achievement. The researchers recommend to
carry out further studies on a larger scale, and on a larger sample, to represent
the true picture of the effects of the married student learning on family and
social reality, with the participation of other Arab teacher training colleges for
Israel.
