Abstract
The poet Mutlaq Abdel Khaliq, who was born in Nazareth in the year 1910, is still considered a prominent figure in the realm of Arabic poetry. His poetry had mainly dealt with patriotic and social issues, which the Palestinian people at that period encountered and suffered from. His poetry is characterized by purity, intensity and highly elevated language. He died in 1937 in Haifa and was buried in Nazareth
