Abstract

The process of the social and medical rehabilitation of Bedouin children with special needs is multi-dimensional and complex. The success of this process depends on the study of self-evaluation within this population.  The care and treatment given to children with special needs in the Bedouin education system is negligible and marginal. This pioneering research will facilitate the grounds for the development and encouragement of other care-givers and researchers in the field.

Field research shows a connection between parental behavior and the development of self-image among children in general and children with special needs in particular. In order to build a rehabilitation and treatment plan for children with special needs, one should seriously consider the issue of self-image.
