Abstract

The principle of the pigeon hole, which is also known as the principle of Dirichlet, is a very simple one. It represents, however, one of the wisest ways to help prove various important and complicated claims in the different mathematical fields. The attraction and beauty of the principle lie in its simplicity and significance in proving mathematical theorems and cases. In this article, we present interesting mathematical statements from different domains of mathematics. We will also present some methods of teaching and try to prove them by using this principle. We present the material in a proper and suitable form to be taught to students at the elementary level.
