Abstract
The purpose of this article is to examine the contribution of the Teaching Excellence
Program in pedagogy of teacher training to promote education in the country and its
influence on the achievements of the State of Israel. Because excellence teaching is
considered relatively new, the article relies mainly on local and international studies and
sources.
Teaching Excellence Program is initiated by the division of teacher-training department of
the Ministry of Education and is considered one of the main sources on which the article
relies.
Yet there was no comprehensive empirical study in the country carried out that can
justify the investment in the excellence program, but the analysis of the few studies
conducted on this course graduates in various fields turns out that there is positive influence
and can be positive results in the future.
