Abstract
The study examines the relationship between the climate and teachers’ satisfaction with their work place. In this research, 135 teachers participated, 74 of whom introduced themselves as secular and the rest as religious. The findings of the research reveal that there is a relationship between the school climate and teacher satisfaction. It also showed that the more religious the teachers are the more satisfied with their work place they seemed to be. The religion factor has an impact on the teacher’s work. From a pedagogical point of view, we should nurture school climate in order to guarantee a higher level of teacher satisfaction. Nurturing a better climate allows us also to have a better focus on other school-related phenomena like decreasing student dropout, fostering motivation among students and improving their achievements.
