Abstract

This study discusses the secret dilemmas in Arab-Bedouin schools as part of the
qualitative research method, which is based on personal interviews with Arab –
Bedouin teachers.
It can be inferred from this study that there is a blatant discrimination in the
corridors of schools towards Northern teachers as mentioned in previous
literature (Abu Rass 2006).
In addition, we see through this research that the school principals exploit
teachers through family and tribal mechanisms and this adversely affects the
hierarchical structure of the school and sanctifies the principal.
At the professional level, we see through this research that there is a repugnance
to the efficiency and growth examinations (The Meitzav) and the absence of
principal’s role in the educational process.
This study highlights the complex phenomena in the Arab educational system in
Israel. The results are supposed to urge the Ministry of Education to reform its
educational system through new instructions on how to deal with and treat
teachers at the schoo
