Abstract
This study aims at exploring the attitudes of MA students in the Faculty of Educational
Sciences at al-Najah National University - Nablus / Palestine - towards the use of computers in education by answering the main study question, "What are the MA students'
attitudes in the Faculty of Educational Sciences towards the use of computers in
education?" To achieve this objective a questionnaire was developed. It consists of (24)
items on a five Likert scale, including three dimensions; attitudes towards computer in
general, attitudes towards the use of computers in education, and attitudes towards the
availability of facilities. Then a sample consisting of (60) students was administered to the
study. After collecting and processing data, the results indicate that respondents show
awareness of the importance of computer use as well as the role it plays in various walks of
life, including education. They also demonstrate that they had a positive indicator for the
possibility of employing this device in our educational institutions, in addition to the
availability of the necessary equipment for the use of computers in our educational
institutions.
The study concludes with several recommendations which include raising computer
awareness among educators, support and promotion of computer use in education and
conducting specialized training courses in the field.
