Abstract
The social and medical rehabilitation process that children with mental development
delay is multi-dimensional and complex. Its success is connected to the of those
children. The findings of many psychological studies indicate the connection between
culture and the character of the individual. Studies show that culture has a great
influence on the personal development. That is, history and culture build selfawareness. This study consider two different cultures, the Russian and the Beduin
culture. The objective is to examine the influence of parents' attitudes and family
education style on self-esteem of children with mental development delay and children
whose development is normative in these cultures.
