                                                                           Ibtisam Abid-Al-Khaliq

This research examines internal relationships among different components of teachers’ knowledge, as well as the relationship between teachers’ knowledge and external factors. Specifically, this research examines the relationship between content knowledge, pedagogic content knowledge, and knowledge about learners, regarding ways of solving middle school equations, of third year pre-service teachers who study to graduate in middle school mathematics and computer education.

It also examines the relationship between the experience of pre-service teachers, regarding solving equations, and their content knowledge and pedagogic content knowledge. Another relationship which is examined in this research is that of the attitudes of the participants towards mathematics as a science of representations and their content knowledge and pedagogic content knowledge in the case of solving middle school equations
